Wait I can have coffee?

If you are like the rest of the world who thinks OMG I'm on a healthy journey I can't have coffee anymore (I mean the good stuff) or now that the weather is warmer I can't have a frappuccino.

Don't fear I'm here to save the day. It doesn't matter if your doing Keto, Low Carb, No Carb or No Sugar No Carb combo or even the J Lo 10 Day Challenge I'm still here to help.

I love my Starbucks coffee and or frappuccino and thought I have to give it up. Well I did some research and found out how to get that same Starbucks deliciousness without using sweetener packs (I'm not a fan of the after taste) and have it taste good, have no or low calories and at a cheaper price.

Starbucks has some hidden gems that will keep you on track. Lets start with the Sugar Free Syrups. The Starbucks sugar free syrups do not have that funny after taste that some sweeteners have. They can also be purchased at Starbucks for about $7.00. They come in the following flavors:

  • Sugar Free Vanilla

  • Sugar Free Caramel

  • Sugar Free Cinnamon Dolce

  • Sugar Free Hazelnut

  • Sugar Free Mocha

  • Sugar Free Peppermint (available seasonally)

Next lets move on to the the creamy part of your drink. If your anything like me the creamyer the better. If you enjoy your coffee drinks light or dark you can play around with the amounts. Now depending on your healthy journey needs I will them list from No Carbs up to the most Carbs:

  • Heavy Whipping Cream - No Carbs

  • Coconut Milk - 1 TBSP 0.5 Carbs (not even a full carb)

  • Half & Half - 1 TBSP 0.6 Carbs (not even a full carb)

  • Almond Milk - 1 TBSP 1 Carb

  • Milk (has both carbs and sugar)

Now where getting to the good part the COFFEE. Weather you enjoy coffee, lattes, espressos or macchiatos it depends on how you give your order to the barista. For example a simple hot coffee order for me would be:

  • Tall Pike

  • Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 4 Pumps of Sugar Free (Syrup of my choice)

When ordering lattes, espressos or macchiatos substitute the the steamed or foamed milk for one of the above listed creamers. For example here my order for a macchiato (this can be ordered Hot or Cold):

  • Tall Skinny Caramel Macchiato

  • Heavy Whipping Cream or Coconut Milk

  • No Drizzle (Caramel Sauce is drizzled around the cup and on top of the drink)

  • 2 Extra Pumps of Sugar Free Caramel Syrup

Iced Coffee is whole different ball game. What you may not know is iced coffee is made with Classic Syrup which is not sugar free, (who knew right?) Also they have a Cold Brew Coffee (which is very BITTER and STRONG) which has no classic syrup. Here's my example of a iced coffee:

  • Grande Iced Coffee

  • No Classic

  • Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 5 Pumps of Sugar Free (Syrup of my choice)

We've made it to the favorite drink yep the Frappacino. This drink is ordered very similar to the to Iced Coffee but it's double blended. Hears how I order it:

  • Grande Iced Coffee (not cold brew it will make your drink bitter. If your drink taste bitter request them to make it over.)

  • No Classic

  • Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 6 Pumps of Sugar Free (Syrup of my choice)

  • Double Blended

Note this drink should not be more than 3.00 depending on your states tax. In my state this drink comes to about 2.90. But wait here's the best part, that grande drink you ordered once blended turns into a Venti drink (make sure you get all of your drink, some baristas will toss the rest of your drink in the sink. Ummmmmm nope I'm going to need the rest of that can you pour it into a venti cup please.)

I told you not to fear I had your back. I hope I took care of your coffee drink needs. If you have a drink need I didn't cover comment or send me a message and I will blog about it. Until next time enjoy your coffee with a smile.
